The Bungoma District Hospital is a health center with minimal budgets. There are two theaters available, but are not fully equipped. There were power outages throughout various times. Especially critical was the last patient operated, in which surgery the electrical generator failed and we had to extubate the patient lanterns lit. The District Hospital has only one operating room.
The most common pathology was congenital genital malformations (hypospadias), burns, tumors and sequelae of trauma.
